You can gain an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London in addition to your ACCA Qualification by completing just one module and one project. This is because the University of London recognises ACCA exams as counting towards their MSc. So you’re already on your way!

Your study route

Because you’ve already passed your ACCA exams, you’ll only have to complete one module and one project to get the MSc in Professional Accountancy.

• The module: Global Issues for the Finance Professional –Changes in the global business environment have led to fundamental shifts in the way finance professionals operate. This module gives you an understanding of the new frameworks of finance – with an emphasis on finding practical ways of evaluating the options available. The approaches you learn will be immediately applicable to your working environment.

• The project: The Strategic Financial Project – As you carry out this project, you’ll learn business research skills and how to apply them to a simulated real world accounting and/or finance challenge. You’ll identify and analyse data about business challenges, research alternative approaches and make judgements, based on the evidence you find.

Who can apply for the affiliate MSc route?

If you completed your professional exams more than five years ago, you will be required to successfully pass the University of London Professional Accountancy online preparation test: Keeping up with change: issues for the finance professional before you apply. This course requires four to five hours of study per week for six weeks.

*Compulsory induction courses take place after you have fully registered. These must be completed before the programme starts.
