Q&A
Q: Tell us about your career highlights so far.
A: I qualified at the age of 20 and had the opportunity to work with three of the top five brands in my career – EY, Deloitte, BDO – and in different countries. At BDO I became risk leader of Bahrain office, technical partner of the region, and I led a number of strategy development and deployment initiatives at BDO Bahrain, Oman and Qatar. I was also offered to become the office managing partner before I left and started my own practice.
Q: What future ambitions do you have?
A: I want to have 500 people in my firm in five years’ time and would like to be in the top ten consulting practices league in ten years’ time. Also, I want to build an eCommerce platform which levels the playing field for all the professional services providers and breaks the monopoly – bringing tech tools and digitalisation into play, not just for clients, but for streamlining internal processes for the firm. I’d like to learn Arabic too.
Q: What’s unique about you and your skills?
A: eCommerce, marketing, and I’ve had an opportunity to work with various boards and nationalities, travelling to 40 plus countries, putting me in a unique position to analyse any opportunity or problem differently.
Q: What does connection mean to you?
A: You take care of it when you know you truly own it.
