Vikas Aggarwal

Vikas Aggarwal is the Regional Head of Public Affairs for Europe, Eurasia, Middle East and the Americas at ACCA. In this role he is responsible for leading ACCA’s government and regulatory engagement strategy to support sustainable economic development, and manages ACCA’s EU engagement through our office in Brussels. He has over 15 years’ experience in advising governments on socio-economic issues such as technology adoption, future talent development, corporate governance, sustainability, and financial inclusion. 

Prior to joining ACCA in 2017, Vikas spent over a decade working for the UK government across defence and security; industrial strategy; small business growth; international trade; and foreign affairs. After he left the government he was a diplomat based in the Middle East.

Vikas has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master’s degrees in naval architecture and international business. He was part of the City of London Corporation’s Socio-Economic Taskforce, and is a Magistrate Judge in South London.

Sajjeed Aslam

Sajjeed Aslam is ACCA's Regional Lead-Public Affairs for the Asia Pacific Region. He is a professional accountant by qualification and a certified board member, carrying over 25 years of C-level experience in growth strategies, acquisitions & mergers, business development, digital transformation, ESG/sustainability and entrepreneurship.

Sajjeed is also a co-founder and investor in e-commerce, agri-tech and ESG/sustainability-led ventures. He has worked and lived across different continents.

Mark Johnson

Mark leads on public sector research in ACCA’s Policy and Insights team, focusing on issues relevant to the public sector globally. He has authored ACCA and CA ANZ’s report on the evolving role of senior finance leadership in the public sector and ACCA’s toolkit on green budgeting.

Mark has a MA in Public Administration and Public Policy and a MSc in Public Financial Management. He is a qualified accountant and previously worked in local government in England.

Alex Metcalfe

Alex leads ACCA’s global public sector strategy – driving the organisation’s public sector brand building, qualification development, and fostering communities of good practice. Alex represents ACCA with key contacts across the global public sector landscape, including with senior government officials and international organisations, where he shares good practices and insights on public financial management.

Prior to ACCA, he worked across central, provincial and local government in the UK and Canadian civil service, including as a senior economist - specialising in tax policy - at the Ontario Ministry of Finance. He has published material across a breadth of public sector topics, including infrastructure finance, financial reporting, public procurement, fiscal policy, immigration and skills, and adult social care.

Alex is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA), member of the public sector committees of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and Accountancy Europe, and sits on the editorial board for the academic book series Public Service Accounting and Accountability.

He studied at Oxford, Cambridge and Queen's universities.

Jane Ohadike

Jane Ohadike is a public affairs and policy practitioner with experience in public sector partnership engagements and developing initiatives towards effective policy implementation.

With a strong background in public/ private sector governance and finance, Jane works collaboratively with stakeholders across sectors to drive alignment of national and regional commitments to global sustainable development goals.

She leverages a diverse range of partner resources and effective standards, tools and insights from subject matter experts in building capacity and capability of institutional stakeholders toward achieving effective public finance management and service delivery.
