Our programme in Wales is called 'ACCOUNTING level 4'. It has been developed in conjunction with Welsh Government, employers, other professional bodies and training providers to develop a new apprenticeship standard for Wales.
As an apprentice, your training is funded by the government and employers. There's no cost to you.
The ACCA apprenticeship for Wales centres on the Diploma in Accounting and Business. It offers you a route into accountancy that can lead all the way through to chartered certified accountant status - a world-class qualification - and a long-term and highly rewarding career.
You’ll work, study and take exams, be mentored by an experienced professional.
The syllabus includes the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business, a separate qualification on top of the apprenticeship award itself
Your learning will cover three main subject areas:
You'll also take ACCA’s Foundations in Professionalism online module. It will help you understand what it means to act professionally and ethically in your job.
If you want to go on to achieve our ACCA Qualification, experience that you get under your apprenticeship will count towards meeting the Practical Experience Requirement (PER).
From day one of being an ACCA apprentice, you're already on the way to becoming a fully qualified ACCA member.
In addition, you'll get real-life workplace experience, which will put your ahead of your university peers.
Once you've completed your ACCA apprenticeship, you could choose to go on to gain:
That means that in just five years, you could become a chartered certified accountant, avoided student debt and earned a salary from day one.
You won’t just be level with people who went to university - you’ll be well ahead of them.
To start an apprenticeship, you need to have a job.
If you are already working, talk to your employer about the ACCA Apprenticeship.
Ask them to visit our Employers' Apprenticeships section and we can help them set up their programme.
