Once you’re on the register, most accountants stay there throughout their professional lives. If, for any reason, you’re removed from the register, you can apply to return to it again later. When the time comes to retire, rather than losing touch with us, why not transfer to our register of retired members?

  • Removal from our register

We want to support our members through their career, but if your subscription isn’t paid in full by 31 March of each year or your CPD requirement isn’t met, we’ll have no other option but to remove you from our register.

This would mean that you’d no longer have the right to use the ‘ACCA’ or ‘FCCA’ letters after your name.

  • Returning to our register

We’re delighted to hear from any former members who’d like to be reinstated.

    How to reinstate your membership

To speed things along, please return your completed reinstatement form, along with any supporting documentation it asks for. You can download a reinstatement form from the ‘Related documents’ section of this page.

    • The form tells you what to do, depending on why you were removed from the register.

You don’t need to submit your reinstatement form by any particular date. The only condition is that members who’ve been removed from the register for disciplinary reasons must wait at least 12 months from the effective date of the disciplinary order before applying for reinstatement.
