Results day is the culmination of lots of hard work and commitment and whether you’ve passed or not, it’s time to stop, think and reflect on your next steps.
It’s good to remember that we call the path to membership a journey for a good reason – it takes time and effort. And like most journeys, there may be times when you struggle and where you don’t hit every milestone you set for yourself.
Exam success is as good a time to reflect as when you fail an exam. Think about what you did at the last exam session and consider any specific activities that helped you get through. Make sure you build on this and take it into the next exam session.
You're not alone – lots of our students fail at least one exam and go on to reach their Membership goals. If you don’t pass an exam, try to see the experience as a way to gain resilience and the ability to approach challenges from different angles. Remember, these are qualities that employers are actively looking for.
It's important to reflect on what went wrong when planning your next steps. It's also worth considering the circumstances of your fail too - you may have different options depending on whether you had a marginal fail, if you have failed the same exam multiple times, or if you've got any other result.
