Session overview

How did the world’s most successful finance leaders get to the top of their game? What are the skills and personal qualities that you need to follow in their footsteps? Find out in this ACCA webinar hosted by Sally Percy, author of ‘Reach the top in finance: An ambitious accountant’s guide to success’, which is being published by Bloomsbury in February 2017.

Based on interviews with the CFOs of FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies, ‘Reach the top in finance’ explores what it takes to become a leader in the finance function and it also looks at other opportunities that exist beyond the finance function itself including making CEO, building a non-executive portfolio career and becoming an entrepreneur.

The book features commentary from the CFOs of Bank of America, National Grid and Smith & Nephew as well as Sacha Romanovitch, CEO of Grant Thornton UK, and Peter Hargreaves, founder of Hargreaves Lansdown, as well as other senior finance leaders.

In the webinar, we will discuss the key learnings from the book and you will benefit from useful advice that will help you to develop your career in 2017 and beyond.
