His research interests include the application of digital technologies to the finance function, and how they impact on the people and processes they support. He is the author of the recent report The Race for Relevance, which considers the impact of technology on the finance function. He has a particular interest in the personal developmental aspects of an organisation.

Has a history of working in the computer software industry. He is ACCA qualified with 21 years of accounting experience with strong financial reporting, cash flow, budgeting, and analytical skills. Prior to joining BlackLine Josh was the group financial reporting manager at Camelot.
