ACCA offers subscription support through two options:

1. Extended-leave subscription
If you’re not in active employment, and:
- are raising a family full-time or are a full-time carer
- have re-entered full-time education
- are experiencing long-term unemployment
- are suffering a prolonged illness that’s prevented you from seeking employment
- have left accountancy to pursue a religious vocation

2. Subscription assistance
If you’re in active employment but earning less than 16,500 GBP, and your employer is not paying your subscription on your behalf.
ACCA reduced subscription: member eligibility
You can apply for a reduced subscription if you earn less than 16,500 GBP annually, and can provide evidence of one or more of the following:
- Tax return or confirmation from local tax office showing no tax paid
- Government benefits confirmation
- Employer salary confirmation (payslip, furlough letter, or termination letter)
- Other relevant documents that demonstrate your annual income is less than 16,500 GBP
Notes:
- All documents must be dated within 3 years
- Documents should have your name on them
- Documents must be translated to English (where applicable)
- Bank statements cannot be accepted as evidence of income

Who qualifies for ACCA reduced subscription rates?
ACCA members earning under £16,500* annually may qualify for subscription assistance or extended leave rates.
*Note: this is the current income threshold; however, the threshold is reviewed and updated regularly.

Can I still apply if I do not have the required documents, but I think I should beeligible?
Circumstances may vary. You will need to provide documentary evidence of your situation, however, if you have documents which fall into another category or alternative documentation, please upload them with your application and we'll review them.

How long does it take to get a response?
After submitting your application, our team will review your submission and aim to provide a response within 5 days.

What happens if I am successful?
If your application is successful, your fees* will be adjusted. You'll receive confirmation via email and on your myACCA account.
*Note: Applications accepted for the following year will reflect the reduced subscription rate from January onwards. -
Do I have to re-apply every year?
Yes, as personal circumstances may change, you will have to re-apply for a reduced subscription each year.
