Foundation-level qualifications

Do you have 3 GCSES and 2 A Levels (or equivalent qualifications) including maths and English? Then you can start at the ACCA Qualification. So visit the ACCA Qualification page to start your journey with us.

Don’t worry if you don’t have those entry requirements – you can still study ACCA! You can start your journey towards ACCA membership with our Foundation-level qualifications - referred to collectively as Foundations in Accountancy. It’s the perfect place to begin if you are starting out in accountancy or if you’re already working in finance but have no qualifications. You’ll be starting at the right level to suit your ability.

You can achieve certificates and diplomas along the way before progressing onto the ACCA Qualification. So you’ll have proof of your hard work, plus it’s a great way of keeping you on track and motivated.

Do I need any qualifications to start?

There are no minimum entry requirements - you can start at any level. However, we strongly recommend you start at the Introductory Certificate if you have no formal qualifications, especially if it has been a while since you completed any studies.

This is because students who start at the Introductory Certificate and work their way through the Foundation level-qualifications perform better in the higher level exams.
