Starting salaries vary based on the role and location. But generally:
- Apprentices may earn £15,000–£25,000 while training.
- Graduates can start around £26,000–£35,000.
As you progress and become ACCA qualified, your earnings can rise significantly often to £50,000+, and even higher with experience.

Every industry needs accounting and finance professionals. ACCA accountants work in accounting firms, big businesses, public sector, charities, tech companies, banks and more.
It depends on the path you take:
- With a university degree, you could qualify in 3 years after graduating.
- Through an apprenticeship or foundations route, it might take 3–5 years.
ACCA prides itself on its accessible and flexible routes to qualifying meaning some people will take longer than others to qualify.
