Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

My university tutor hasn’t heard of ACCA Advantage?

Tutors needing more information about ACCA Advantage should please email us at ukuniversities@accaglobal.com

I'm not doing a degree in accounting and finance - can I still register with ACCA Advantage?

Yes. However, you may not get as many exemptions and may need to start from the Applied Skills level.

I'm an existing ACCA student, can I register?

If you are an existing ACCA student you cannot be transferred to Advantage.

However, if you were previously on Accelerate and took a placement year, we would be able to move you. If transferred, please note that the Advantage exemption fees will apply. Please contact us with your ACCA ID number and we will be able to help you with this.

Is there a deadline to register with ACCA Advantage?

Advantage registration is open throughout the year. We recommend that you register at the start of your second year in university (England, Wales) and at the start of your third year (for Scotland). However, we suggest registering by March at the latest in order to secure a work placement.

I'm not eligible to register with Advantage but want to study with ACCA, what are my options?

We welcome you to register via the usual registration process. You are still able to claim exemptions through your degree with us.

I'm still at university but I have been charged a subscription fee?

In most cases this will have happened because the graduation date we have on file for you has changed; for example if you’ve done a placement year.

Please contact us with your ACCA ID number, university, course and new year of graduation and we will make the changes on your account.

I'm studying a Masters course, can I register for Advantage?

Yes you can register for Advantage. We recommend that you register as soon as you start your Masters programme.
