FAQs on ethics module service issues

EPSM/FIP/RPEM service update - 25 May 2023

Our ethics and professionalism modules (FIP/EPSM/RPEM) continue to remain temporarily out of service.  Work to move these modules onto a new hosting platform is progressing well, which will allow us to offer these modules again in the near future.  We appreciate your continued patience whilst we carry out this work and once again wish to apologise for any disruption this may have had on your ACCA journey.

We’ll provide you with a further service update before the end of June. Should you need any further information in the meantime you can view our FAQs which support both student and affiliate queries.

Can I still access my ethics module?

We’re sorry but the following modules are currently unavailable due to technical problems:

  • Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM)
  • Foundations in Professionalism module (FIP)
  • Russian Professional Ethics Module (RPEM).

We’re moving these modules to a new hosting platform, and while we complete this work you will be unable to begin or continue with your module. We appreciate your patience while we complete this task.

When will I be able to access the modules again?

At the moment we’re unable to tell you when the modules will be up and running again. Please be assured we’re working as quickly as we can.

We’ll provide an update before the end of June.

If I have fully completed my ethics module is there a risk that this may not be recorded?

No. If you’ve fully completed your module this will be reflected in your MyACCA account.

If I have already paid for my ethics module, is there a risk that I will need to pay for the module again?

No, there is no financial risk to anyone who has already registered for the module on the old platform.

If I am part-way through the module, will my progress be transferred to the new hosting platform?

We’re currently working on transition arrangements to the new platform and will keep you updated with information and next steps as this becomes available.

I have submitted a RAP submission in May for the OBU BSc, but have yet to complete the EPSM. Will there be an extended deadline for completing the EPSM requirement?

For students who submitted a RAP between 1-10 May and who have yet to complete EPSM, we’re continuing to work with OBU on arrangements for submitting EPSM after the deadline. Once EPSM is available again we will be able to advise of the next steps these students should take.

I’m studying for an exam and I need support with ethics and professional skills. What support is available to me?
