Learning resources for the Level 4 EPA
There are currently two versions of the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship:
- Version 1
- Version 1.2
Version 1 of the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship applies to apprenticeships which started before 9 June 2025. Version 1 has two end point assessments, the Technical Role Simulation (TRS) and a Portfolio and Reflective Statement (PRS). The last running of TRS was in June 2026. The last running of PRS will be in December 2026. Options are available to apprentices that have failed and need to resit.
Version 1.2 of the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship applies to apprenticeships which started on or after 9 June 2025. Version 1.2 has two end point assessments, the Role Scenario Assessment and a Professional Discussion.
Note: version 2.0 of the Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician Apprenticeship will be introduced for apprentices starting after 27 July 2026.
