Jennifer Doolan ACCA Student - Audit Officer - Audit Scotland

I am currently working as an audit officer at Audit Scotland and have been in this role since June 2021. I am an ACCA student and in the process of completing my final exam. During my time as an ACCA student, I have gained a lot of experience. I worked as a trainee accountant in a small accountancy firm and then moved to a financial services firm where I worked as a financial reporting accountant.

In May 2021 I moved from Ireland to Scotland to begin my job in Audit Scotland. Since then, I have completed three of my professional exams and have continued using my learning provider based in Dublin, Ireland.  

I understand the challenges faced by students today and I think there is a lack of awareness in relation to the opportunities and flexibility that exists in the world of accountancy. I am looking forward to being able to share my experience with future ACCA students as well as providing guidance on the routes available to become an ACCA member.
