Maria Sigacheva ACCA - Tax Specialist - Glencore

Maria is a Tax Specialist at Glencore, (an international British-Swiss commodity trading company), with over 15 years of experience in the finance field in various roles, including working at the Chamberlains City of London office, Growth Accelerator advisor and owning a business. 

Maria’s 10-year journey to becoming an ACCA fully qualified accountant was challenging, it required both resilience and persistence as she navigated family loss, anxiety and preparing for final exams during the global pandemic all whilst working in her role as an accountant.

She is keen to share her learnings which she hopes will inspire and support students making the first steps towards a career in accountancy.
