Aberdeen and the North East of Scotland have been hit by the double whammy of a sharp oil price downturn and the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. The 2016 price crash that saw 150,000 people lose their jobs, with the region bearing the brunt, is not far over the horizon. The region had to consider its future. In a step change Aberdeen is becoming a Centre of Energy rather than focused solely on the oil & gas industry. In an industry that embraces technology, where there is adversity there is often opportunity.

Neil has reshaped his business model to attract a wider audience. “The North Sea basin is a mature region. It still draws investment but projects are more challenging and finances are tight - other projects across the globe are deemed to be more economically beneficial. I’m using the accounting & business partnering skills built up over 20 years to support companies across a range of industries. My goal is to grow a business that works hand in hand with clients, building relationships to gain a real understanding of their businesses, providing insight & information to help our clients make strategic decisions, and enjoy the journey along the way.”
