As ACCA examinations are held worldwide, cancellation or postponement is a very serious matter. Any decision to cancel or postpone an examination will be made only when it is absolutely necessary.

If severe or disruptive weather is forecast, candidates should check official local weather and examination authority announcements for information about examinations in their area, and continue to check for updates before travelling to the examination centre.

Candidates should note that:

• the closure of schools, universities or other public institutions due to severe weather does not necessarily mean that an ACCA examination will be postponed or cancelled;
• candidates should follow any instructions issued by the relevant local authorities or examination venue;
• if an examination is cancelled or a candidate is unable to attend because of circumstances beyond their control, they should refer to the Mitigating Circumstances Policy for further information.
