The ACCA Global Forum for SMEs

The forum provides a unique platform for promoting the role of SMEs in the global economy. Representing over 15 countries and a wide range of professional backgrounds – from finance institutions, academics and professional advisers to entrepreneurs themselves – the forum represents the sector’s needs at a global level and facilitates the sharing of best practice.

Rosanna Choi FCCA
Partner, CWCC

Rosanna Choi is a CWCC partner and audit specialist. She chairs the firm's Training Committee and IT Committee to enhance staff skills and productivity and the effective use of information technology. She joined CWCC in 1993. Rosanna is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), and ACCA.

Having served on the committee of ACCA Hong Kong since 2002, Rosanna was the chairman thereof for 2010/11. She was elected to ACCA Council for 2011–13, and was the vice chairman of its Resource Oversight Committee for 2012–13. She is an executive committee member of Social Ventures Hong Kong, a council member of the Baptist University of Hong Kong and the deputy chairman of its Finance Committee. She is also a director of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, and an audit committee member of Urban Renewal Authority. Rosanna holds a Master's degree in business administration from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a Master's degree in information system management from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Rosana Mirkovic
Head of SME Policy, ACCA

Rosana's interests include access to finance, ethics, business transfer, intellectual property and global trends in SME sector development.

Rosana sits on numerous SME groups, is chair of the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors SME Expert Group, is a member of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network and the Enterprise Diversity Alliance; and was a member of the United Nations Expert Group on Small Business Development and Corruption.

She has authored numerous policy documents and publications dealing with wide-ranging subjects relating to SMEs including intangible assets, pension provision, and various aspects of government policy aimed at improving the small business environment. She has spoken on small business development issues at numerous ACCA and external events in Europe, Africa and Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining ACCA, Rosana worked in the Private Office of a Cabinet Minister; she was a member of the UK delegation at the European Union Working Group relating to mutual legal assistance and international cooperation; and together with her partner has set up a small business selling organic foods, which now trades across Europe.
