Remote exams are booked through Exam Planner. They are only offered in countries where we have no exam centre provision.

Before booking your remote session exam, there are a few important things to check first.

Remote exams are only available in locations where there isn't an exam centre.

To find out if remote exams are available in your country, visit the Exam availability and booking page on our website.

It's also important to check the exam timetable on our website to ensure you know when your exam is due to take place.

And remember that remote session exams must be booked before the standard entry deadline, as late bookings will not be accepted.

If remote exams are available in your location and you're ready to book, please take a few moments to make sure you're fully prepared.

Check that your computer meets our minimum technical requirements and complete the mandatory system test on the device you'll be using for your exam.

You'll also need to set up a secure and private workspace, free of distractions and background noise and with a stable Internet connection throughout your exam.

Finally, take some time to review our exam rules and regulations so you know exactly what to expect on the day.

Completing these steps in advance will help ensure a smooth and successful exam experience.

When you're ready to book, Scroll down to the Helpful Links section and select Book an Exam.

Select Add an Exam, then select Remote and choose the exam you want to book.

If you've selected an exam that requires A specified variant, select Choose a Version and choose the variant from the available list, then select Set Version.

Then tick the box on screen to confirm you understand that after the standard entry deadline, examination fees are not refundable or transferable.

Select Add to your plan.

Take a moment to read the information on screen and tick the box highlighted on screen to confirm you understand the minimum technical requirements and we'll pass the mandatory system test ahead of the exam and that you meet the eligibility criteria to sit a remote session exam.

Please confirm if you agree to the use of facial recognition software for the purpose of verifying your identity during the testing process by comparing your facial image to that presented on your identification document and to facial images captured during the testing process.

If you do not agree, tick the box on the right instead, highlight it on screen.
[3:06]
Lastly, please confirm you have read accept and will comply with our exam regulations and guidelines.

Then select agree and proceed.
[3:20]
You can now choose a time slot, select Confirm Availability, select View Exams.

Select the exam you're booking.
[3:32]
You'll notice this is highlighted with a cheque mark next to it.

Take a moment to read our online exam policies, then tick the box on screen to confirm you agree to each term as described.

Next, tick the boxes on screen to confirm you agree to Unviews data processing policies.
[3:56]
Review the information on screen and tick the boxes underneath each section to confirm you agree to the third Party Prohibition, Limited licence and Testing Space verification policy.

Lastly, take a moment to read ACC as exam policies and when you're ready, select Agree.

Now check your time zone is correct.

If you'd like to change it, select the button highlighted on screen.

You can now search and choose your preferred time zone.

When you're ready, select Yes, that's right, choose the date of your exam.

You'll notice a time slot has been automatically selected for you.

However, if you'd like to change this, select Explore more times.

If no appointments are available within a given time frame, this will show as none available and if appointments are available, select the time frame and choose a time slot.

When you've chosen your time slot, select Book this appointment.
[5:13]
Check that your personal details are up to date.
[5:16]
If there are any errors with how your name is displayed, please contact us as soon as possible.

Select Next to move on.
[5:25]
Review your booking and when you're ready, select Confirm.
[5:32]
If you haven't done so already, select Run a system test to ensure your computer is capable of launching the exam and to check that your Internet connection you plan to use on exam day meets the minimum technical requirements for online testing.

And when you're ready, select Finish.
[5:49]
You must now pay for your booking to secure your time slot.
[5:54]

If you have a debit or credit on your account, the total balance will be adjusted accordingly.

Select the link highlighted on screen to read our terms and conditions of booking.

And when you're ready, tick the box on screen to confirm you have read and accept the terms and conditions, then select Proceed to Payment.

Again, if you have a debit or credit on your account, the total balance will be adjusted accordingly.

When you're ready, select Continue, choose one of the payment options highlighted on screen, then enter your payment details and select the Pay button.

A confirmation message will be displayed on screen and you will also receive an e-mail outlining your booking details and the next steps to help you prepare for your exam.

And you can return to your exam planner to view your exam selections or book another exam by selecting the link highlighted on screen.

Selecting your exam start time
You will be able to select a preferred start time within a timeslot window based on your location (subject to availability). During the booking process, the timeslot window will appear as TIME1, TIME2, TIME3 etc. after the exam name. For example:
RI_SBR_INT_TIME1
Depending on your location you maybe presented with more than one timeslot window. For example:
RI_SBR_INT_TIME1
RI_SBR_INT_TIME2
The lower the number the earlier the timeslot is during the day i.e. if you select TIME1 the exam start times available will all be earlier in the day those available in TIME2.
Remote exam booking deadline
Remote exams must be booked ahead of the standard entry deadline. There is no late entry period for remote exams.

If you wish to subsequently cancel your exam booking
Any changes or cancellations must also be made before the standard entry deadline. Should you choose to cancel your booking your exam fee will be credited to your account.
How to cancel your remote session exam

Please be advised that all cancellations must be made before the standard entry deadline, which can be found on the Important Dates page of our website, and your exam fee will be credited to your My ACCA account.

Cancellations made after the standard entry deadline are not permitted and your exam fee will not be credited to your account.

When you're ready to cancel, log into your My ACCA portal and scroll down to the Helpful Links section.

Then select Book an Exam.

Locate the exam you wish to cancel and select Details.
[0:50]
Take a moment to check you have the correct exam and, when you're ready, select Cancel.

Please note that if you want to change the format or version of this exam, you must cancel and rebook, and your exam fee will be credited to your My ACCA account for future use.

When you're ready, select Cancel Booking and again select Confirm Cancellation.

- There is no late entry booking window for remote exams.
