Make sure you have downloaded the exam software and are familiar with the exam platform functionality to maximise your chances of success.
Once you have made an exam booking
Download the exam software ahead of exam day
The exam software download link will be in your exam confirmation email from ProctorU.
2-3 days before your exam day you will receive an email from ACCA. This email will include the Token ID which will allow you to download the ACCA exam software. We strongly recommend downloading your exam software as soon as you have received your Token ID.
Re-check your device to make sure it meets requirements again, in case of any updates to software etc. and ensure your room setup meets the requirements.
Preparing for your remote on-demand exam
We use the same exam software for remote on-demand CBEs as we do for our exam centres. Therefore regardless of where you take your exam, you should use our exam support resources. These resources include a practice platform which allows you to practice and get familiar with the exam functionality of the exam software.
We would also recommend that students study with an Approved Learning Partner if possible to maximise their chances of success. Once you feel ready to take your exam, the earliest you can book an exam slot is 7 days from the date of booking.
Second camera requirement from 1 June 2026
As an additional security feature, from 1 June 2026 you will be required to use your mobile phone or portable tablet as a secondary camera device. In addition to your computer/laptop's webcam and screen capture, this second camera will provide an additional view of your room and workspace.
Your mobile phone or portable tablet will need to have a front-facing camera and be in use throughout the duration of the exam. Therefore, to avoid draining your battery, you should also ensure your device is connected to a charger during your exam.
You will be advised on how to connect and set up your second camera device during the exam check-in process. However, we would recommend reviewing the guidance links below provided by our exam delivery partner, ProctorU, in advance of your exam.
