A round-up of support for members in Scotland
The Scottish Parliament is consulting on a newly introduced bill that will reform the law on moveable transactions in Scotland. This will enable finance to be raised for businesses either through the assignation of claims, or through pledges over moveable equipment eg machinery. This reform has been over ten years in the planning.
We want to hear your views on the benefits or pitfalls of these funding opportunities for Scottish businesses – let us know your experience by contacting susan.love@accaglobal.com.
During Scottish exam results week (results day is Tuesday 9 August) ACCA will be proud to support the campaign that reassures young people that their school exam results don’t need to define their career. We support people into the accountancy profession no matter their starting point in life. We’d like to encourage members to join in and show your or your firm’s support online.
Following our event with the Small Business Commissioner we want to hear more from practitioners and SMEs in Scotland about your experience of late payment in recent months.
We would be very grateful if members in Scotland could spare a couple of minutes to respond to our short survey.
We really need your feedback so if you can please sign up for our member survey platform, Member Insights Community Registration, or drop Susan a line at susan.love@accaglobal.com.
