Do you have fast-growing companies among your clients? The UK Fast Growth 50 Index has been launched to celebrate the fastest-growing firms across the UK, and ACCA is encouraging members to nominate client businesses for inclusion in the lists.

Created in Wales 25 years ago, the UK Fast Growth 50 Index will this year, for the first time, identify the top-performing fast-growth companies in eight regions.

Fast Growth 50, of which ACCA is a sponsor, ranks the entrants based on turnover growth between 2020 and 2022. To be considered for the 2023 indices, a business must have had sales of at least £250,000 in 2020 and £1m in 2022, and be an independent or privately held business.

Those qualifying for their regional index will be celebrated for making a difference to local economies across the UK at the Fast Growth 50 awards events to be held later this year in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, London and Manchester.

ACCA Council member and FD of Character.com Helen Morgan FCCA says that being listed in the Wales 50 ‘placed Character on a high-achieving platform with many other fantastic and upcoming Welsh businesses. The listing not only showcases how an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong team can drive success and growth, it also helps to promote the business and attract talent.’

The listings also highlight the support that the accountancy profession is providing to help scale up firms to grow and develop.
