ACCA welcomes the opportunity to comment on proposed updates to the FRC’s routes to resolution under the Audit Enforcement Procedure (AEP).

ACCA is broadly supportive of the proposed updates. In ACCA’s view, the introduction of additional disposal options within the FRC’s AEP provide proportionate and pragmatic alternatives to traditional enforcement routes. These options will enable the regulator to engage with statutory audit firms and auditors in a more flexible manner, whilst ensuring that the public interest is protected.
