I work in the public sector, leading on financial oversight of the Government’s flagship Apprenticeship Service programme. I became a panel member in 2019 to be actively involved in shaping finance for the future. I completed the Leaders of Tomorrow programme in 2018, formed great networks and really enjoyed talking to people about the changing role of a finance professional and how ACCA can support its members. Being part of the panel allows me to continue this conversation and inspire new talent to enter the profession.

I work with the civil service and am very proud to be an ACCA fellow as it is a global qualification which gives you all the skills and knowledge to be able to practice anywhere in the world. I always encourage family and friends to take up the course and explain to them the benefits and recognition they will achieve just by mentioning that they have registered for the course.

I would like to promote the qualification and also encourage the future generation to take it up. I would very much like people from the BAME community to be more involved and given more information on how the qualification will open more opportunities for them.

I am an ACCA qualified accountant that has specialised in the discipline of accounting and have been working in utilities in various finance departments. I am passionate about communicating with stakeholders and delivering changes that have an impact on the wider business. I am also a freelance accounting tutor and teach a varierty of ACCA courses in my spare time.

I’m also the owner of the Facebook group; UK ACCA Distance Learning Students, which is a student support network with over 3500 members.
