• Exam requirements

    You will need to have passed the following papers:

    ·        Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA)

    • Exam exemptions

      You must show you have: 

      ·        successfully completed all the relevant Strategic Professional examinations, or equivalent examinations from a previous syllabus, within five years from the date on which you completed the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level examinations (or equivalent)

      ·        If you registered for the ACCA Qualification on or after 1 January 2016, successfully completed all the relevant Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level examinations, or equivalent examinations from a previous syllabus, within five years of becoming eligible to sit these examinations* 

      * If you accepted exemptions from all or part of the Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills level of the syllabus (or equivalent) on the basis that you gained those qualifications more than five years previously (from the date you initially submitted the qualifications as an ACCA student), you will need to pass those exempted examinations. 

    • Requirements

      To obtain the audit qualification for Zimbabwe members must have completed three years’ practical training in an ACCA approved employer (or five years in the case of applicants who are not holders of a university degree) and comply with the remaining requirements set out in the Rulebook Global Practising Regulations, Annex 3, Appendix 1.

      The training must consist of experience in all of the following:

      (a) Audit;

      (b) Corporate reporting and financial management; and

      (c) Taxation.

      Appendix 5: Qualification requirements for an audit qualification (Zimbabwe) Applicants must:

      (a) be proficient in all the performance objectives for audit and assurance as described in ACCA’s Practical Experience Requirement; and

      (b) endeavour to achieve proficiency in a broad range of practical experience in relation to accounting and taxation.

      The training must be obtained in an ACCA approved employer under the supervision of either:

      (a) a principal who is an Oversight Registered Public Auditor entitled to practise and throughout the period of training does practise as an auditor in the country; or

      (b) any other person having in the opinion of Council adequate qualifications and experience providing that such person is an Oversight Registered Public Auditor under the law of Zimbabwe.

      The training shall be recorded in a manner that the Association specifies as acceptable from time to time

    • AQ application process

      You will need to submit the AQ application form which includes the Audit Qualification Experience Form (AQEF) via your MyACCA portal to evidence your experience.

      ACCA will assess your AQ application upon receipt and provide feedback accordingly.
