As technology continuously evolves, more sophisticated and varied tools are made available to fraud examiners. These technologies emerge with and may become buzzwords that generate more confusion than excitement in various professional communities, and people might rush to make sure they are not the last person on the bandwagon.

In this course, fraud examiners will learn about prominent emerging technologies that can be applied to the prevention and/or detection of fraud, as well as the limitations of those technologies in their current forms and the possibilities for developments in the medium term. The course materials also discuss challenges with adopting new technologies and strategies for overcoming those challenges.

  • categorise emerging technologies that are useful in fraud detection and prevention
  • distinguish the defining characteristics of emerging technologies
  • identify applications of emerging technologies for fraud detection and prevention
  • recognise the current limitations of emerging technologies and strategies for overcoming associated challenges.

  • CPD certificate is available upon successful completion of the course.
  • Course developed by Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
  • 12-month access.
