Managing ethical dilemmas involving financial irregularities

Professional ethics is fundamental to every accountant and finance professional

Overview

Person reflected in glass looking concerned

Professional integrity should be highly regarded for bringing credibility to decision making and protecting the interests of stakeholders. Doing the right thing is as crucial as being a technical expert.

However, the fact is that making the right call is often not easy. Ethical dilemmas are rarely black or white, and many often involve different viewpoints and possibilities. And when it involves financial irregularities, it can get quite complicated.

Financial irregularities have become increasingly common across different types of businesses regardless of company size. With varying degrees of severity from major frauds to minor cheating, financial irregularities pose ethical dilemmas to everyone.

Hear from a former Group CFO with over 40 years of experience in both private and public sectors as he shares the importance of ethics, ethical standards, ethical dilemmas and ways to manage ethical dilemmas involving financial dilemmas and infringement of laws and regulations.

On completion of this webinar you will:

  • be able to examine the underlying causes for ethical dilemmas
  • know how to safeguard against threats which compromise ethical standards
  • know how to manage ethical dilemmas involving financial irregularities
