Overview

As accountants we are often focused on calculating and reporting transactions and events. Analysis is a different skill that needs to be developed when partnering with suppliers or customers in the longer term. Analysis is about ‘making the numbers talk’, interpreting the financial statements to identify good questions to get underneath the business to assess its financial health and longevity. We can’t know the answers without further research but analysing the financials can help us to identify those risk areas that require further investigation.

Ideal for anyone who wants to develop the analytical skills to make a more effective assessment of the financial statements of customers, suppliers or other partner organisations.
