Overview

Sustainability has been a business-critical topic for a long time now, and it’s not going away. Each organisation is under increasing pressure to implement environmentally friendly practices and it’s making CEOs and directors turn to their accountants. It’s our role to look for cost-effective solutions that boost business sustainability credentials and help make financial decisions that put sustainability at the centre of the decision-making process.

This course explores how you can get involved in sustainable finance and provides a step-by-step guide for planning and implementing a sustainable project. You will be able to thoroughly assess an organisation’s sustainability and provide suggestions to improve its impact.

This course will enable you to:

  • understand how to take ESG considerations into account when making financial decisions.
  • recognise the governing bodies that can offer help on sustainable finance, and how to capitalise on this help.
  • report on sustainability within your organisation, or your clients’ organisations.
  • plan a sustainable project from start to finish using essential frameworks.
  • make sense of the international sustainability standards and how to use them when reporting.
