The Foundation-level qualifications are suitable for you if you’re just starting out in finance. Or, if you work in finance but have no professional qualification to show for your experience yet.
The foundation-level qualifications are broadly equivalent to the following:
| ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2) | GCSE standard or equivalent |
| ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 3) | A-level standard or equivalent |
| ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4) | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
| ACCA Certificate in Financial Management (RQF Level 4) | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
| ACCA Certificate in Taxation (RQF Level 4) | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
| ACCA Certificate in Audit (RQF Level 4) | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
| Foundation Diploma (Pakistan and Bangladesh only) | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
| Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Qualification | First year of a degree programme or HND standard or equivalent |
