Tax residence certificates
Many organisations on our Exchange service request a tax residence certificate to get confirmation that ACCA and its subsidiaries is tax resident in the UK and will pay tax on the income it will receive from the Exchange customer.
ACCA will contact HM Revenue & Customs in the UK to request the certificate. This will be different depending on what country the Exchange organisation is located. The certificate confirms that the ACCA is resident in the UK in accordance with the Double Taxation Agreement between the UK and that particular country.
If you're paying through ACCA Learning, please request a tax residence certificate for this product.
Should an organisation require a tax residence certificate, please contact our Business Relations team at brelsupport@accaglobal.com
Apostilled tax residence certificates
Your organisation may require your tax residence certificate to be apostilled. This means that the certificate once received from HM Revenue and customs must be sent to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office prior to being sent to you.
Please make the Business Relations team aware of this when requesting your tax residence certificate.
Please note that timescales to provide an apostilled certificate may take longer.
Letter of confirmation of UK residence
For some countries e.g. Cambodia and Kyrgyzstan, there is no double taxation agreement between them and the UK. HMRC can therefore only provide a ‘Letter of confirmation of UK residence for ACCA.’
