(i) Each member, affiliate or registered student (“Individual”) must pay an admission or registration fee to the Association. In addition, for so long as they remain a member of the Association, they must pay an annual subscription to the Association.
(ii) Annual subscriptions are due on 1 January of each year, unless the Council shall otherwise direct. Annual subscriptions shall be payable whether or not the Individual intends to remain a member for the entire year to which the subscription relates.
(iii) The amount of annual subscriptions shall be prescribed by the Council, provided that, pursuant to and in accordance with bye-law 2(d)(iv), any decision by the Council providing for the paying of admission fees and annual subscriptions in excess of 105% of the admission fees or, as the case may be, annual subscriptions in force at the time of that decision shall be subject to the approval of the Association in general meeting by resolution passed by not less than two thirds of the members entitled to vote and voting on such resolution.
(iv) The Council may, in its absolute discretion, vary, suspend or waive payment of the annual subscription payable by any applicant for membership or by any member on such terms and for such period as it may think fit.
(v) The annual subscriptions applicable for the calendar year shall be as detailed on the ACCA website.
vi) Individuals shall be notified in advance of the annual subscriptions becoming due on 1 January of each year.
(vii) Any Individual wishing to resign shall tender written notice to the Council and on its acceptance their membership shall cease or, as the case may be, they shall cease to have the status of member, affiliate or registered student and their name shall be removed from the relevant register.
(viii) Any Individual giving notice of their intention to resign shall remain liable to pay any subscription or other sums due from them at the date the relevant notice is accepted. If the relevant notice is given and accepted prior to the annual subscriptions becoming due on 1 January then the individual shall not be invoiced in respect of that year’s annual subscriptions.
(ix) Subject to clause (x) below, an Individual shall be removed from the register of members, affiliates or registered students if any annual subscriptions due to the Association shall remain unpaid after three months from the date on which it was due to the Association.
(x) The Council may in its absolute discretion, either on its own volition or on the application of the Individual concerned, suspend the operation of clause (ix) where it is of the opinion it is reasonable to do so.
(xi) Any Individual removed for non-payment of annual subscriptions due and applying for readmission in the same calendar year shall be obliged to pay that year’s annual subscriptions in full. Any Individual applying for readmission in a different calendar year shall only be obliged to pay that year’s annual subscriptions and not any outstanding annual subscriptions due from previous years.
(xii) The following pro-rated annual subscriptions shall be applicable in respect of registered students only who are applying for re-admission in a new calendar year:
January – 100%
February/March/ April – 75%
May/June/July – 50%
August/September/October – 25%
November/December – 0%
