Kenneth Henry has been an ACCA Council member since 2010, and currently chairs ACCA’s Governance Design Committee. He also sits on ACCA’s Global Forum on Audit and Assurance, and represents ACCA on the International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB) – the global standard-setting body for the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Kenneth started his career in 1973 and spent the first 20 years in public practice with PwC, in Jamaica and the USA. Most recently, since 2000, he earned his PhD and is now Associate Professor of Accounting at Florida International University. In that role, he designs, delivers, and assists in academic quality reviews of graduate and undergraduate courses in Accounting, Auditing, and Information Systems
Dr Jane Towers-Clark is Head of Academic Partnerships, ACCA. A graduate from Exeter University, she started her career as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young, London. She went on to work as a lecturer in accountancy in Singapore and as an auditor in Australia before returning to the UK and going on to become Head of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Oxford Brookes University.
Jane is co-author of the text book 'Accounting: A Smart Approach' and has a Doctorate in Education from the Institute of Education, UCL.
Initially qualifying as a teacher after graduating, Catherine Edwards switched paths to train, as an accountant, qualifying with ACCA whilst working in a mixed general practice. This training provided experience in many areas of accounting and tax, as well as audit of different sectors.
Once qualified, she returned to her educational roots and taught for over ten years, specialising in financial reporting and auditing subjects before coming to ACCA in 2005 as Head of Qualifications. Both her team and the scope of her role expanded over the years. Catherine became Director of Qualifications in 2012, managing development, content and production of all ACCA exams, including the introduction of online exams using word processing and spreadsheet tools, and the application of psychometrics in results. Additionally she has led qualification related projects across different sectors for various markets worldwide.
In 2017 she was appointed to a new specialist global role as Director of Skills and Assessment at ACCA with specific responsibility for Qualification performance and standards.
