Call for Evidence: Draft Finance Bill 2021/22

Read ACCA’s submission to the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee Finance Bill Sub-Committee

The sub-committee focused on two areas of the draft Finance Bill:

  • proposals for income tax basis period reform  
  • notification by large businesses of uncertain tax treatment. 

ACCA’s submission emphasised that simplicity, certainty and stability are the cornerstones of a good tax system, also noting that it is vital that HMRC considers the wider impact of its actions on businesses and their advisers in the context of current economic circumstances.
