Big data’s impact on international taxation

Join this webinar to discover the impact of big data on international taxation and explore how ADIT – the international tax qualification – can support and prepare you for a career as an international tax practitioner

Overview

Confident-looking person

As revenue authorities worldwide increasingly leverage big data and analytics, the role of data in shaping tax policy and enforcement is evolving from its historic roots in physical records. This webinar explores how big data is transforming international tax, from compliance and risk management to audit selection and dispute trends.

We’ll examine how tax authorities are using advanced data tools to track business activities and enforce tax rules under frameworks like BEPS and global minimum tax. With digitalisation changing both business operations and tax administration, companies must adapt to a dynamic compliance environment that requires both technical expertise and strategic foresight.

Key Takeaways:

  • How big data is reshaping international tax and influencing tax authority behaviour.
  • Insights into the data driven approach to risk assessment, audits, and transfer pricing.
  • The impact of digitalisation on business and tax processes.
  • Key risks and challenges, including data governance and privacy concerns.
  • Strategies for businesses to improve tax data governance and manage compliance risks.
  • A look ahead at the long-term opportunities and challenges big data presents for tax policy, business strategy and society.
