International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) continue to evolve and preparers, auditors and users need to stay current on changes affecting reporting, compliance, and decision-making.

This half-day seminar provides a practical update on recent changes to IFRSs and emerging developments, with a focus on what they mean in practice for financial reporting, including measurement, recognition and disclosures. 

Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

·       Identify the latest amendments to existing IFRS effective for periods commencing 1 January 2025 and onwards

·       Understand the new main requirements and practical implications of IFRS 18 and IFRS 19

·       Have awareness of the latest exposure drafts and current IASB projects and their likely future impact

·       Have practical insight into common challenging areas using the latest FRC Annual Corporate Reporting Review

·       Apply regulator feedback to common reporting problem areas

·       Understand the basics of IFRS S1 and S2 and the climate related disclosures
