Mastering AI Prompts: Context Engineering for Financial Analysis & Reporting

The AI revolution demands a fundamental shift in professional mindset—from asking one-off questions to designing entire information environments that allow AI to perform effectively

Overview

AI

This programme moves beyond simple “prompt engineering” to embrace the broader discipline of Context Engineering—the art and science of constructing an AI’s context window to yield precise, trustworthy, and actionable outputs. For accounting and finance professionals, this approach is essential for achieving production-ready, auditable outputs.

This practical one-day course equips participants with structured techniques for using generative AI in accounting and finance workflows. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to apply AI to financial analysis, management reporting, variance interpretation, budgeting, risk assessment, and executive communication.

The course also addresses the limitations of generative AI. Participants will examine how to identify inaccurate calculations, unsupported assumptions, incomplete analysis, and misleading conclusions. Emphasis is placed on professional judgement, confidentiality, validation, and responsible use.

No programming experience is required.
