Harriett is the CEO and Founder of Flight Deck Strategic Solutions, a Business Consultancy which uses  Airline Pilots to transform strategies from the Flight Deck into solutions for businesses. Harriett is an Airline Captain and an Aviation Safety Expert, with over a decade of frontline and leadership experience. 

Having first learned to fly with Northumbrian RAF Universities Air Squadron while at Durham University, Harriett went on to complete commercial pilot training and joined a major European airline in 2010, flying the Airbus A320 family. In 2015, Harriett was promoted to Captain. 

Harriett also has experience of leading aviation Safety Investigations, championing a culture of Psychological Safety and helping teams to learn from safety events, with the aim of driving ongoing progress. This experience has provided a deep insight into how aviation has become a global leader in risk management, resilience, and continuous improvement. 

Passionate about translating Flight Deck strategies into Business solutions, Harriett and the team deliver workshops that bring proven aviation methods, such as structured decision-making, leadership under pressure, and fostering psychological safety, into organisations. These sessions help 

Leaders and teams unlock their potential, operate in uncertainty, and achieve sustainable business transformation. In addition to this exciting current project with the ACCA for its members, the team has recently worked with Rolls-Royce. We have also recently partnered with Voyager Flight Simulation at Luton Airport to develop Flight Deck to Boardroom, an immersive learning experience for top-tier leadership teams, using a state-of-the-art Boeing 737 simulator.
