Emerging trends in sustainability reporting: Understanding TNFD, nature and biodiversity-related requirements

One of the four webinars covered in ACCA Hong Kong Sustainability Reporting Series

Overview

green fields

The growing focus on nature and biodiversity reflects an urgent global recognition that environmental degradation poses significant financial, operational, and reputational risks to businesses. The Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) has emerged as a key framework to help organisations understand and disclose their nature-related risks and opportunities in a structured, decision-useful way. While regulatory expectations and investor demands evolve, accounting and finance professionals must be equipped to navigate these trends, as they play a critical role in integrating nature-related considerations into risk management, reporting, and sustainable business strategies.

This webinar will cover the following:

  • An overview of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD), including its implications for businesses and comparison between the TNFD and existing various disclosure frameworks
  • Regulatory and market trends of nature and biodiversity-related requirements and developments in Hong Kong and globally
  • Practical considerations for sustainability reporting about these new changes for accounting and finance professionals - challenges and advice
