Liz Blackburn, BlackRock, EMEA Head of Financial Controls Reporting
Liz currently works at BlackRock in Edinburgh, where she leads the Financial Controls Reporting team for the EMEA region. The team’s primary responsibility is to assess the firm’s compliance with the SoX program through the testing and evaluation of internal controls.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Liz gained valuable controls, audit and accounting experience through her work at Royal Bank of Scotland, AEGON Asset Management (now Kames Capital), Standard Life Investments, PwC and EY.
Liz has been a member of ACCA since 2000 and was elected to Council in November 2017. She currently serves on the Remuneration and Nominating and Governance Committees.
Prior to being elected to Council she was the chair of both the Financial Services Member Network Panel and the Edinburgh & East of Scotland equivalent, and was awarded ACCA UK Advocate of the Year in 2016. Liz is also an ex officio member of the ACCA Scotland Committee.
Clive Webb, Head of Business Management, ACCA
Clive is a member of the Professional Insights team. He deals with business and technology related matters from the perspective of Chief Financial Officer.
His research interests include the application of digital technologies to the finance function, and how they impact on the people and processes they support.
He has a particular interest in the personal developmental aspects of an organisation.
