ACCA has submitted our stakeholder representation to HM Treasury ahead of the 2026 UK Budget.

Thank you to all members who participated in our Budget Survey; we used the views you expressed in our planning and our response. We received feedback on a wide range of topics, much broader than we are able to capture in a single Budget representation.

Our submission concentrated on four key topics that affect members and areas where action could generate the greatest impact:

• simplifying the UK’s tax system
• improving HMRC and recognising the value of professional agents
• maximising business confidence
• skills.

ACCA engages with UK government and wider stakeholders on an ongoing basis and responds to consultations during the year.
