University of London MSc in Professional Accountancy

The University of London recognises ACCA exams as credit towards the master’s programme. As such ACCA members and affiliates only need to complete one module and one project to get their MSc in Professional Accountancy.

The module: Global Issues for the finance professional

Changes in the global business environment have led to fundamental shifts in the way finance professionals operate. This module gives you an understanding of the new frameworks of finance – with an emphasis on finding practical ways of evaluating the options available. The approaches you learn will be immediately applicable to your working environment.

The project: The strategic financial project

As you carry out this project, you’ll learn business research skills and how to apply them to a simulated real world accounting and/or finance challenge. You’ll identify and analyse data about business challenges, research alternative approaches and make judgements, based on the evidence you find.

The final start date for this version of the programme will be January 2022.

New for 2022

Based on feedback from our members, the MSc in Professional Accountancy is being updated for 2022. This version of the programme will be available to those starting from 4 April 2022. It won’t be possible to transfer from one programme to the other.

In the new programme, you’ll complete one capstone project and two modules of your choice from:

  • Global Issues in Finance and Accounting
  • Analysing Risk for Decision Making
  • Issues in Investment Management
  • Capital Markets and Global Perspectives.
