Finance Futures 2026 brings together leading voices from finance, business and beyond to explore what it means by 'Redefining the Accountant' in a world shaped by technological innovation, economic uncertainty and changing workplace expectations.

The conference opens with an interactive keynote, "How will geopolitics, trade and AI impact global economic resilience in 2027?", featuring Jonathan Ashworth and guest speakers. As global markets face continued geopolitical tensions, trade disruption, rising energy prices and the rapid acceleration of AI, our expert panel will explore the forces likely to shape the economic landscape in 2027. Through thought-provoking discussion and audience interaction, delegates will gain practical insights into how finance professionals can build resilience and help their organisations navigate an increasingly unpredictable world.

Following the keynote, delegates can personalise their experience by selecting two interactive workshop sessions from four conference strands: Careers, Leadership, Redefining the Workplace and Redefining Accountancy.

Whether you're exploring how AI is reshaping careers, developing the leadership skills needed for the future, understanding how workplaces are evolving, or considering the changing role of the accountant, each workshop is designed to provide practical takeaways, fresh perspectives and real-world insights from industry experts.

The day concludes with an inspiring keynote from Jeffrey Narweh, "How the Career I Didn't Plan Became the One I Was Meant For." Jeffrey's journey into accountancy was never part of the original plan, but through resilience, curiosity and a willingness to embrace opportunity, he built a career with purpose and impact. Reflecting on the lessons he's learned—from overcoming setbacks to recognising the value of soft skills and authentic leadership—Jeffrey will challenge delegates to rethink what success looks like and inspire them to redefine what an accountant can be.
