Show leadership potential — taking initiative, influencing others positively, and stepping up to solve problems beyond their formal role.
Demonstrate analytical strength — applying financial insight, data literacy, and sound judgement to support decision‑making and improve outcomes.
Champion innovation — embracing new technologies, challenging outdated processes, and contributing fresh ideas that move their team or organisation forward.
Model professional values — acting with accountability, resilience, and ethical awareness, even in challenging situations.
Invest in their own development — actively pursuing learning opportunities, qualifications, or stretch assignments that build their long‑term capability.

Applicant Criteria
These individuals create lasting value by:
Bridging the skills gap
They help equip current and future finance professionals with the capabilities needed for a rapidly evolving world. Through mentoring, training, education, thought leadership, or workforce development, they strengthen professional, digital, strategic, and analytical skills. By sharing knowledge, supporting innovation, and encouraging continuous learning, they help individuals and organisations adapt, grow, and thrive.
Driving sustainable business
They use their professional expertise to support responsible business, resilience, and long-term value creation. Through financial leadership, governance, risk management, sustainability initiatives, policy influence, innovation, or strategic decision-making, they help organisations and communities achieve positive and lasting outcomes. Their work contributes to stronger performance, greater accountability, and more sustainable economic and societal progress.
Championing professional accountants
They promote the relevance, credibility, and public-interest role of professional accountants. Through advocacy, mentoring, leadership, ethical practice, thought leadership, or influencing policy and standards, they help strengthen trust in the profession and ensure it remains equipped to meet future challenges. They champion the value accountants bring to organisations, economies, and society, helping to raise the profile and impact of the profession globally.
These individuals use their professional expertise to create impact far beyond their own organisation. Whether through innovation, leadership, education, advocacy, sustainability, technological advancement, or professional excellence, they strengthen the financial ecosystem, support societal progress, and help shape the future of the profession. This may include the responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, where these contribute to meaningful and measurable impact.
