This course equips professional accountants with the knowledge and practical skills to recognise, assess, and respond to fraud risks within organisations.

Participants will develop an understanding of common fraud schemes, accounting red flags, and the circumstances in which forensic accounting techniques are appropriate.

The course also examines the role of internal controls in preventing and detecting fraud, the responsibilities of accountants when fraud is suspected, and the differing standards of evidence required for audit engagements, investigations, and legal proceedings.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify fraud risks, evaluate control weaknesses, support fraud investigations where appropriate, and contribute to stronger organisational governance and fraud risk management.
