Annual General Meeting (AGM)
AGM 2023
ACCA Council hereby notifies ACCA members that ACCA's 2023 AGM will be held on 9 November 2023, in accordance with bye-law 44(a).
The deadline for submission of nominations for election to Council is 9 August 2023, in accordance with bye-law 16 and the deadline for submission of members' resolutions is also 9 August 2023, in accordance with bye-law 46.

Annual General Meeting Arrangements
This years’ AGM will take place online. Members will be notified of the arrangements for the Council Elections and AGM via email or post.
How to vote
Members who are eligible to vote will receive unique voting codes via email or post on or around 28 September 2023. Members can vote, and submit questions, in advance via the AGM and Council Elections voting platform. Online and postal voting closes at 13:00 GMT on 26 October 2023.
Register your interest
Members who wish to participate in the online AGM must have pre-registered by 13:00 GMT on 26 October 2023.
Purpose of the AGM
The purpose of the AGM is to transact the following business:
- receiving the annual report of the Council
- receiving the annual accounts of the Association and the auditors’ report on them
- appointment of the auditor or auditors
- declaration of the result of any election for members of the Council.
In addition to ordinary business transacted, members may request special business to be raised at the meeting in accordance with bye-law 46. Any member wishing to raise such business must give notice, in writing, of such motion and be supported in writing by not fewer than a half of one per cent of the members of the Association as at 1 April 2023.
The members of the Association as at 1 April 2023 numbered 247,734 meaning that the number of supporting signatures required is 1,239. The deadline for submission of members' resolutions is 9 August 2023.
Election for members of the Council
Every year ACCA holds an election for Council members. Candidates come from all parts of the world, from every sector of the profession, and represent a wide range of senior positions. What they all have in common however, is a real desire to be involved in ACCA at the most strategic level. We welcome members of all ages and backgrounds to stand for election to Council.
