Paying on someone else's behalf

Billing arrangements

A billing arrangement means you are paying on behalf of someone else (formerly known as an Exchange payment policy). From April, there’ll be changes to the way billing arrangements are managed. You will be able to have multiple billing arrangements and can add and remove individuals from these.

What's changing?

The good news...

You’ll maintain all your billing arrangements on the MyACCA portal.

You’ll also be able to have multiple billing arrangements for your connected people and are no longer restricted to one payment policy. You’ll find all the new options on your billing arrangement application via the MyACCA portal.

What will you be able to do?

The MyACCA portal will allow you to view your existing billing arrangements and amend them by adding and removing people, either in bulk or individually. You’ll also be able to remove individual people from your connections should you wish to stop paying on their behalf.

A billing arrangement will only be activated once you have invited a person to connect to you on the portal and they accept that invitation.

How will the billing work?

You’ll receive consolidated billing for the connected people you 'pay on behalf of’.

Billings are referred to as ‘Statements of account’ and will have an updated look but still contain the same information.

You’ll receive billings for each resident country of the individuals you are paying for. This means that, for example, if you have people in the UK and Republic of Ireland, you would be receiving two statements of account.

You’ll receive your billings monthly – we’ll email you to let you know when your billing is ready to view on the MyACCA portal. Exam billing remains the same after the session closes and is not billed monthly.

Please note: In India and UAE there will be a billing per state.

What does this mean for your people?

Your people can have more than one billing arrangement active at any one time via connections to multiple organisations.

They will also no longer see the fees on their account under the billing arrangement - these will be sent directly to you.

More information on this to follow, including demos and how to videos.
