Flexibility is a major attraction of the ACCA qualification. You may still be completing the exams or trying to meet the practical experience requirements for membership but that doesn’t mean that you have to remain in the same job. In some cases, you may have to change employment in order to gain the experience that you need for membership.
To help you find a job that will enable you to progress towards qualification and further your career, ACCA provides a range of resources that are available online at ACCA Careers. New services have been added and existing services enhanced – enabling you to find exciting job opportunities and gain practical work experience, including access to vacancies and career management resources. Visit www.accaglobal.com/careers to take advantage of the following free resources.
Career management centre
In partnership with Hudson Human Capital Solutions, ACCA has developed one of the job market’s most comprehensive and useful career advice programmes – the career management centre. It includes online exercises, which are designed to give insight into your working preferences and personality type, and also help define the industries, companies, and roles in which you are most likely to succeed.
Find a job
Find a job enables you to view and apply for a frequently-updated range of vacancies with leading employers worldwide. This exclusive service for ACCA students, affiliates, and members can only be accessed by visiting myACCA and entering your ACCA registration number and passcode.
Job boards
ACCA Careers provides direct access to leading job boards including FT.com and 51Jobs. These sites provide a single source for finding vacancies placed by recruitment consultants and individual employers. The information provided on each listing tells you more about the organisation and enables you to make a direct application.
Recruitment consultants
ACCA works with leading recruitment consultants around the world to assist students and affiliates in accessing the best jobs in accounting and finance. Our online database has been extended to cover 71 consultants in 14 countries, enabling you to locate specialist finance recruitment consultants both in your area and internationally.
Employment and salary surveys
New employment and salary surveys for specific markets are available online and free of charge. Use the reports gathered by Hays, Hudson, Michael Page, and Robert Walters in 13 countries to research salary rates for the finance profession, employment trends, market conditions, and employer predictions for the year ahead.
Changing jobs?
When you do change jobs, update your Student Training Record and have your supervisor verify your experience before you leave. Don’t risk delaying your progress to membership because you can’t prove your experience.
