New guidance to help agents sign up their clients for VAT Agent Authorisation
HMRC has produced new guidance and videos to help businesses access tools such as:
- appointing someone to deal with HMRC on your behalf
- VAT repayments and refunds
- changing your VAT business details
- making a VAT payment
- late payment penalties, surcharges and notices of assessment
- the VAT Flat Rate Scheme
- VAT registration.
The online tool will help agents communicate better with their clients on managing any of their VAT online services and should be highlighted to clients to access related video guidance on how to take the right steps to access each type of service.
